Stayner is a small town located in the southern part of Ontario, Canada. The town has a rich history that dates back to the 1800s.
In 1851, Stayner was originally known as Nottawasaga Station, named after the Nottawasaga River that flows through the area. The town was settled by European immigrants who were attracted to the area's fertile farmland and natural resources.
The arrival of the railway in the late 1800s brought new economic opportunities to Stayner, including a booming lumber industry and increased trade with other towns and cities. By the early 1900s, Stayner had become an important transportation hub for the region.
During the 20th century, Stayner experienced significant growth and development. The town's
population increased, and new businesses and industries were established. Stayner also played a role in the Second World War, providing soldiers and resources to the Canadian military effort.
In recent years, Stayner has continued to grow and thrive as a small town with a strong sense of community.
Today, it is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, friendly residents, and charming downtown area.
